States of Undress During Dance Performance

Half the time when I see states of undress, I'm totally unimpressed. Like when Val rips his shirt off in EVERY one of his DWTS performances. It just annoys me because he does it every time and it's for no reason other than he wants the attention, so I believe he's selling himself short. He actually looks and dances great when he's covered up. Derek doesn't do it all the time, but when he does I couldn't possibly care less about his body because I'm busy scraping my jaw off the floor thinking "his Cuban motion is crazy, I swear I can hear his ribs crunching!"

But then Peta wears her favorite combo of underwear and string and I'm just like :meh: meanwhile, Sharna wears a catsuit and is covered from the neck down and I can't stop thinking about how hot she looks.

Also, this may be irrelevant, but just as a side note, it makes me laugh when men wear dance shirts with sheer panels and their nipples are visible :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
 
Both Julianne and peta for that matter are prettier in person

The mrs thinks Derek is more handsome in person. In all fairness lol
 
I really, really dislike entirely sheer shirts on men... there is a latin pro here who sometimes wears a plain black shirt made of powermesh when he dances pro-am... and partly because of that shirt, he's on my "no way" list.

Then again, I like my costumes to be a little less revealing than the norm as well... you could call it prudish, but I prefer to think of it as elegant ;)

I was surprised that I don't have an issue with the original video. I think it was one of those rare instances where I found it to really work with the concept, and that it was tastefully done.
 
I have to say that I too fall into the anti-nipple category...regardless of how hot the guy is, I prefer to see a turtle-neck or a tunic and not one that is open enough to show all the merchandise...if a guy is ripped it is attractive enough without showing skin, and if he isn't, then it's definitely a better look
 
I'm usually a fan of her costumes, but not this one particularly. To be fair though, it shows off her amazing body actions and lines really well. I'm just not in love with the design.
 
that fabric looks heavy enough that it seems more like it is giving the effect of being bare without being bare....at that level I don't mind it as long as it doesn't distract me from the dancing...and, in this case, it doesn't...
...I would probably still prefer a dress
 
I will further clarify my earlier statement. It's not the body suit that really makes me think weird, is the interesting placement of the designed elements and stones that distracts me the most away from the dancing. I definitely wasn't focusing on Troels at all during that entire dance.
