Stocking Stuffers

Any ideas for Stocking Stuffers? There is another thread titled Christmas Presents but it seems to be geared towards children toys. What are some small gifts that you could give to anyone that doesn't cost over $25? There are some great movies/DVDs coming out this year. Any reccommendations? What are some other ideas that won't wreck your pockets.....

* tea candles and tea candle holders

* I saw a printing shop advertising calendars! You supply your own photos and they make it up for you. You can have one photo or 12 photos and I think there is one other option. If I manage it in time, I think I will have one made up for my parents and one for my aunt with photos of the latest generation of the family ie. grandchildren/great nephews.

A couple years ago, a friend gave me a moderately priced bottle of California " champagne" with two gift-boxed champagne flutes (that she got from Pier 1, I think. ). One of my favorite gifts.

I usually get my husband a magazine and/or a whole subscription for his stocking. If I get him a subscription, I put the current issue in there with a note tellign him he's getting the whole subscription. If it's just one issue, I get him one of the titles that he likes to read occasionally but doesn't like to get the whole year (like sporting stuff - he's only really into football, so he likes to get that at Christmastime with the Superbowl coming up...)

He likes to have good keychains and he's pretty hard on them, so I will often get him a new one for his stocking. I'm not talking cheap plasticy ones, but nice stainless keychains.

swiss army knives, small flashlights, the batteries that go in the other toys that I bought...

and sticks and coal for my sisters!!!

Inexpensive video games, if the person has (and likes) a game system.

Edit: hint: Walmart and ToysRus have 2-fers this week. 2 for $20, 2 for $30, 2 for $40 games. Very nice stocking stuffers. 8)

Shoe brush... everyone needs a new one sooner or later due to dullness or lossage. Just be sure it's in some sort of sleeve as trying to get a naked one untangled from the inside of a stocking could easily draw blood.

Dance CD's bought in quantity (total, not the same title) can be under $25 when ordered directly from one of the major publishers, but it's too late to do that for Christmas. (this is also not a bad way to get shoe brushes).

Yup. A dance DVD fits nicely in a stocking, too. Of course, that's most likely more than $25, but it does fit.

Hmm. The folding shoe brush people had a special last year this time. I wonder if they have a special offer this year. A folded shoe brush'd fit in a stocking, and come out without injury, too.
