Stretching those arms...

I need a bit of help here :D

Starting the final stretch of my Cha Cha technique before my exams in the not too distant future.

My problem is keeping the "stretch" in my arms when using them for styling. My teacher tells me to stretch it out all the way to my fingertips, and has physcially put my arms and fingers in the right position, but I take 3 steps and Ive lost it again :? :?

Ive been practicing at home a fair bit and Im starting to feel really sore in my shoulders.

Does anyone have tips for maintaining the stretch? Excersises?

Thanks :D

Think out the tips of your fingers.

Your shoulders should be relaxed -- down and back. Your arms, straight out through the finger, should be toned, but not tense. Think of the movement being initiated in the muscles of your back, and terminating just beyond the tips of your fingernails, then flowing back into your back muscles, just like the tide. :)
