Synopsis of USABDA site?

Ok, I've been browsing the USABDA site and looking for all the "need to know" stuff.

What I'd like is a BTDT guide to what is really necessary and who to talk to and how to go about doing what needs to be done.

Any takers?

Laura??? Chris??? Turtle???

I'm not sure I understand what you need. Who you need to talk to depends on what your question is. I don't know what you mean by "what needs to be done."

If your question is "how much of that entire web site do I REALLY need to read?" then the answer is (if you are a competitor) just the dancesport rule book.

;)

Actually, that does answer my question pretty much.

What I'm also looking for is a practical guide to everyday use, if that makes any sens... Kind of a BTDT, have the t-shirt type thing. Not just as it pertains to the website, but as it pertains to USABD in general. Clear as mud?

Edited for spelling.

I google therefore I am!

You need to read the policies too. There are bylaws but I'm not sure if those affect individuals much. And don't forget the press releases.

Remember the whole argument about the regionals requirement for nationals being contrary to the requirements of the rulebook?

Sorry, I was using a dicsussion elsewhere that Laura probably saw as a counterexample to the suggestion that the rulebook is all one need read. She is right that the rulebook is the starting point, but most of the rest of the competitors page should be reviewed too.

Not that the rulebook says people with IDSF-member-memberships from different countries can compete together, and can even represent the US in many cases.
