For some reason I feel the show isn't as exciting as last year. I am not sure if it is related to the execution of the dancing or if it is more like the choreographies they are having this year but I am not as attached to the show as last yr. It lacks spice and sparks. There aren't enough unforgettable numbers like the "Flower and the Humming Bird", the "Transformers", etc. Anyone shares the same feeling?
As for the elimination, when I saw the bottom 3, I knew Thayne was going home. It would have been a harder choice between Thayne and Gev but with Twitch and Will along in the bottom 3, Thayne stood no chance although I think he's a great dancer too. Besides Will, I thought Thayne was one of the better contemporary boys on the show. Still no one can spin as well as Danny from last season.
I personally find Kerrington lovely. Her dancing isn't bad but a little bit amateurish. Anyone's noticed Nigel "loves" her? I was sure Nigel would do anything to keep her in the top 10 for the tour.
Courtney's chacha was ok but she should have closed her thighs more when doing locks, her legs were apart! It may be hot and fun but not esthetically pretty. Just like Kerrington, I find her cute but she gives me the impression of a brat.
No comment on the quickstep. It was no good. The shapes and lines were not there. Although the shoulder pads were not helping, I don't think Will would have performed much better either without. But I agree Mia was mean to say Will was carrying Jessica across the dancefloor throughout the entire dance. Not to that extent!
