Has anyone bought / seen tails from Star Dance Shop? They have Jonathan Wilkins as their endorser but I am not sure if Jonathan actually wears their tails.

Thanks!

Wilkins and Katusha endorses the company TAKA DANCE FASHION which is home based in Osaka Japan. I'm not sure about now since they split (retired?) but they were still on the covers on the catalog last year. Has anyone heard of what the couple are doing now?

I think Star Dance Shop is an "official" retailer of TAKA dancewear, which is from Japan. Their sponsored couples include Wilkins & Demidova and Watson & Carmen.

I bought a pair of Latin Pants fromStar Dance Shop when they came to Ohio Star Ball.

And how have they been so far?

It has not disappointed me yet, and I don't think it will. It's all poly but the quality is good; it also fits well even though it is not custom made. I paid $220. In important competitions and show dances I wear the pants custom made by Aleksandr and, in less important occasions, I wear this pants.

Where have you been? ;-)

Katusha is dancing with Arunas and Jonathan is dancing with Hazel, and they all seem to be doing quite well.

Taka has a line of various smooth / pro-am menswear - vests, frock coats, etc to complement their trousers which Star Dance Shop was exhibiting at competitions last year. If they have off-the-rack tailsuits to add to the collection, that could make a lot of sense for introductory or backup purposes - not, it won't be the equal of something made for your body, but there's not always the time for that.

FWIW, the website says they're made to measure. But doesn't say what they're made of.

Below "Tailsuit" (listed at $800) a few rows down, there is a "Dance Tailsuit" ... it's listed at $1800, and only says it's made of "wool" .. not very descriptive I know, but at least it's a ballpark :-) So I assume that means the $800 tailsuit is not made for dancing. But it doesn't give enough info to know for sure.
