I don't get out as much during the week as I would like to, but a woman I danced with on Sundays says her favorite Tango place on Monday is Lafayette Grill. If the weather is nice the outdoor Volvo tango events can be nice, I haven't been yet this year, but last year the few that I got to had a small, friendly group of hardcore Tango aficionados. Tuesday afternoon there is a Lunchtime Milonga at South Street Seaport, I went for the 1st time last week - only a few tangueros, a lot of people there for the free beginner's lesson. Everyone enjoyed the demonstration by the teachers Anton & Sergio of men dancing in the way of the historic men's practica of BsAs. They also host the Wednesday evening Cocktail Milonga at Stella restaurant, I haven't been but have heard good things about it. On Tuesday triangulo is popular with the after work tango crowd, it's a little small - only one bathroom that the ladies also use to change clothes in. Someone mentioned that the host of the tuesday milonga @ Lafayette grill will do a birthday dance for her. On Wednesday Gabriel Misse and Natalia Hills will perform at Lafayette Grill, I love them so I'll try to get there (and suffer for it on Thursday morning). Corazon Milonga in times square is new, but it's hosted by a woman who hosts another very popular milonga called the "All Night Milonga".
