Ah, you forgot that this is my unique selling point. I post about it every now and then because I think it's important. I dance so little that I immediately correct my dance partner if things get uncomfortable.

So there is still market value in you by just being older.

Thinking in terms like "market value" certainly isn't popular, but it leads to a better understanding and acceptance of the needs of your "customers".

As an older man (62) in Northern Europe, I don't expect a direct decrease in my "market value", as long as I'm targeting women up to 10 years younger. After all, they too - within statistical fluctuations - become slower in their movements, perceptions and abilities. My SO is six years younger, but that doesn't mean I personally have any more health issues.

Eventually, health will become decisive in the long run, but perhaps my "competitors" will throw in the towel sooner. And hopefully, demographic and cultural factors will at least compensate for the leading women.

Conversely, I would at least older women recommend to learn leading, in addition to (learn) following.

Originally, Miradamiranda was referring to the proportion measurable in invitations. And I now estimate the equivalent number of conversations that I currently have at milongas. And if I weren't in a relationship, I'd find plenty of applicants in the tango community. Simply the fact that someone has a background in dance makes a man interesting (for a certain kind of women). It suggests that he knows how to handle women properly.
