Anabella, what size do you normally wear?

I usually wear European size 37 and 38, and US size 7.5 is perfect for me
(thow US size 8 is best when I wear boots).
So I have to go down on size when it comes to tango shoes (Comme Il Faut).

So it looks like this is what we have to do with fabulous shoes that do not fit. Have had mixed experiences with ordering shoes online. Just tried Darcos. Beautiful shoes, but one pair is half size too big, even though stamp is as I ordered it. Another pair, had to add holes so close to the end of the ankle strap to get it to fit, am afraid the strap will rip.

They do not respond when inquiring about a return or exchange, even though they were quick to respond personally when I made my inital inquiries for purchase. Would not order from them again.

Am going to try putting some cushioned insoles in the shoes, see if it helps fit. Had good luck with Tango-Goods on ebay, they were custom made to my foot measurements. Never once got a blister wearing them.

Moat people have found that Darcos runs hanitually a half size large in sizing, and most people have found going a half size down works out pretty well. M*e*t*atarsal apds should help on shoes that are a half size big.

I've heard mixed things about Tango-goods. I am very wary now of what I call "Umbrella" sellers (selling shoes made by more than one factory and brand so you don't know how the sizing runs) after my unfortunate experience with Tango-wear.

I always seem to be making my way back to this thread! ;)

I've done it again...managed to get a pair of shoes that doesn't fit me. I wore these off the floor for just few minutes, long enough to not be returnable, and had to come to grips with the fact that my toes are just too chubby for them...these just aren't for wide feet!

If anyone is interested...these are Neotango model 821 - in metallic purple and rose, size 36 (US 6) ...breathtaking! I just about wanted to cry when I realized they weren't going to work on me.

The heel is the 6.5cm heel, just under 3" up the back - very comfortable. Inside length is 9.25" and width is about 3"- for a regular foot!

They are basically in brand new condition, I've only worn them for a few minutes.

PM me if you are interested. Pic is attached.

Ha! Wouldn't you know - I've just selected purple fabrics to have a new tango gown made.

I will PM you. :)

Happy holidays everybody.
I am cleaning my closet again, and very sadly letting go of two pairs of gorgeous babies (AKA tango shoes :).
Please PM me if interested.

Anyone tired of her green tango shoes size 8 (38,5)?

Hello dear tango fellows,
Excuse my not so perfect english (it's not my mother tongue). I've been reading this forum for a few days now and registered now, because I found this thread, even though I can see it's very, very old and obsolete.

However, I would like to ask if there's anybody who is selling or willing to sell a pair of second-hand tango shoes of my size, I use street size 39 Eur (8,5 US) but have a pair od Victorio tango shoes size 38 (7,5 US) which fits perfetly. Therefore, I'm looking rather for 38 or 38,5. And I would so much like to find a green pair, no matter what shade of green and no matter which brand, no matter what kind of toe.
The only condition would be the heel, not higher than 3" (7,5 cm more or less).
If you should have such a pair for sale, or if you know about someone who has, or know a good website (besides ebay)... I'd be very grateful to hear from you!
Thanks in advance.
