tangobootcamp

The key to doing boot camps with your real life partner is to bring more people! Another couple if it’s a strictly 1:1 with no rotation. No teacher/maestro/organiser has ever stopped two couples swapping amongst themselves. Another follower to share the leader also works well. Two leaders sharing a follower is always terrible! Neither leader feels they get ample time to nail the vocabulary and learn the technique

In a separated discussion on Facebook reported someone, that this boot camp contains good beginner lessons. So it may also be that only the advertising text is for the bin, of course, these goals get never achieved.

..and a horrible history, think you know that. I still have contact with Esther Bejarano, the girl with the accordion in the second row of the picture (click link). She survived and is 95 now and still active.
By the way I see nothing in the link (with the photo) that refers to the Fresedo tango itself (I read French). Maybe I'll check out a few other resources.

Serious question - besides Plegaria, are there any other songs that are unplayable because they have acquired negative connotations?

Thank all of you who replied. I am sorry that you are discouraging about
TBC because I have looked at several other weekenders (W) and they
look far more unsuitable for me than TBC. As an incompetent beginner
(B) I need lots of B classes. All the Ws I have seen offer:

2 nights at an expensive hotel, meals, evening milongas, a small no.
of classes, mostly I or A and lots of "free time".

Thank you

These are not beginners' classes.

Some years ago I started a thread concerning forbidden tangos. Perhaps some links are broken meanwhile?

We all here don't know anything about the quality of the classes.
But the topics written in the advertising text will never ever get handled at a weekend.
So you might well test it and report here afterwards. :)

If you really want to learn tango from almost zero, boot camps simply aren't the way to go. There's just no way around a lot of weekly group lessons and prácticas, and eventually private lessons – occasionally going back to the same topics to refine them. The precise investment of time varies, but it's usually measured in years if you're doing weekly work.
