Tax Day - April 17th

Oh well, it's not that big a deal to make a trip over to the post office. If it's open, then I'll have filed by the 16th. If not, then at worst, one of my three filings will be a day late.

It's not a big deal to make a trip there. But unless you already have postage on it, and merely want to drop it off, it might be a while before you leave again.

I heard Missouri's was the 17th. I've got mine all done, but that's what I had thought. (I might be wrong.) I just wish they would make it one day and be done with it lol. Although, this year the 15th landed on a Sunday, so it was nice to have that extra day if anything at all. ;)

Post office was closed last night, and I read that they're going to be open late tonight. I just dropped it off in the box.

And yes, I can get away with just putting postage on it and dropping it off. My state forms aren't so big, and while my Federal would've been big, since I eFiled, it's small. And I'm not so concerned that I'm going to send it via certified mail or other such ways.

I guess we should just figure that April 15th is the due date. Problem is, that when I know it's not due til the 17th, that I'm likely to procrastinate until then. Sorta like setting your alarm clock ahead an extra 10 minutes, only to hit that snooze button. Lol!

That's true. Well, I had no choice but to do mine late this year with a wrong W2. So, I think that she would have allowed mine to extend this year if I needed to anyways. I usually try to get them done early to see how much free money I get back from Fasfa. I'm thinking about taking some classes this year since I'll probably get some free money back to me. I mean... why not take advantage of free education when you have the chance to?

I don't think they are open late except on the day taxes are actually due.

At least in my mind, I used this as a justification that the GA state taxes aren't due until today. :)

Definitely! You could also use that money for more dance stuff.

Off to mail my application for extension of time to file.
Prepaid my taxes, over and beyond, so don't have to worry about sending a payment.
