Teen With Peanut Allergy Dies After Kiss

Thanks Amrimi.

Something else that makes me "shake my head in despair" is when I am at a buffet - work restaurant or social or even at a friend's - and I see people mixing the serving spoons between the dishes thus "contaminating" the foods  With so much food sensitivities/allegies around AND the awareness of the implications, it really surprises me when people take serving spoons to serve themselves from another dish and then puts it back! They don't just contaminate one dish but two!

wow, that's nice!

i just saw it in a news article today - a women was dragged to an attacker's home and was seriously beaten. She managed to get out of the house and knocked on 4 houses with no one willing to help. Finally, she got to the 5th house, the man reluctantly agreed to call the police & ambulance for her but refused to let her go in. He did, however, offer her a cigarette through his barred and chained door  ! I can understand that people do not want to get themselves in trouble but the lack of good samaritans nowadays is just making this a very sad society....

Part of the reason I live where I do

I wonder what kind of area was that. Sounds like one of those places where you can get mugged walking from your front door to the car.

Where are you, Dancin Feet?

Where I am, in a large British city, I've never heard of kids not being allowed to take lunch to school.

It's an interesting question, balancing safety against civil liberties... :-?

Rosa :)

I'm in Australia Rosa. Not sure about private schools (never been to one) but all the public schools have a cafeteria or tuckshop where you can buy lunch items. Most kids take their lunch from home. I'm sure private schools probably have a similar setup. Never ever heard of kids being not allowed to take their own lunch to school. :o

Same here, as far as I know. Never been to a private school (neither has my son.) But state schools here seem to believe in freedom as far as lunches go...
