The "doh" factor...

This is your chance to show your human side :wink: Care to share your experiences of when you thought :doh: why didn't I think of that?

Changed television cable providers. For some "strange" reason, no sound was coming out of the television. :roll: Of course I called Customer Services to find that the television section was closed for the weekend. :roll: I was trying to remember if there should have been a second cable. :roll: Then I thought to try moving around the cable connector and :oops: guess what I got :lol: sound! :lol:
 
Yeah, i have "doh" moments all the time. I like to think of it as the "blonde factor."

Like a little while ago when I was new to this house and cooking, turned some burners on to cook dinner, and noticed the middle panel of the stove was getting *real hot* and smoking. I was sure the thing was malfunctioning and I left a message for my housemate that there must be some kind of a problem with the gas. I had the fire hydrant all ready to go....
... when Steve called me back frantic about the apparent gas leak in the house. So I told him what was going on, he pointed out that we have a hot plate/griddle controlled by the middle dial of the (electric) stove....

Whoops. I guess i am not quite ready for home ownership yet.
 
I was making a bag that was due the next day and the machine just wouldn't sew properly. I tried adjusting the tension, I tried re-threading the machine, I tried doing a little frustrated dance around it...nothing!
Then I realized that it would probably have helped to lower the foot.... :oops: :lol:

never had a 'doh' moment b4.. too smart i guess

but i had many 'oooh i like to bite that!' moments..does this count? :eyebrow:
 
Once, I was trying to see what was wrong with my printer. I'm a PC freak, so I tried everything imaginable - well, till I realised the USB cable was out. :doh:
I'll think up of other "doh" moments; I have lots of them!

I cleared out some folding chairs I had and was no longer using, INCLUDING the one I used for my computer table :? :doh: I realised it a few days later, as I had had the computer on the dining table and hadn't missed the chair. :? At the time, I remember thinking, "Oh yes. There is a folding chair by the computer table", forgetting that I used it! Now, I have to buy a chair as I moved the computer back to the computer table :? :nope: :lol:

(Moral? Be careful about being enthusiastic about Spring Cleaning :lol: )
