It is snowing in London today. There is a mix of dirty/slushy snow, where cars/people have been, and then the beautiful, untouched, clean snow.
I was scurrying into work, eyes down trying to work out a) roughly how many inches had fallen and b) where to place my feet and suddenly saw slightly curvey 'x's in the snow. I looked at it bemused and then spotted two black birds hopping a couple of feet away. It was their footprints (claw?) in the snow. It was a beautiful pattern and made me smile.
