ok so i starting dancing when i was little, and did it for 6 years. but then i quit for 4 years and i love it soo much i dont know why i quit.. when ever i see someone dancing on stage or at my sisters or friends competitions i want to cry, because i know i could be up there, doing so amazing.. but now im 13 almost 14 and want to start dance and get into competition, but i dont know how to spin or even basic things that i used to know some of..the competition people my age are extreamly good, they do like 10 kick spins in a row, splits in the air, and almost anything you can think of, i cant do any of that..is it too late to become a really great dancer by next year?

plz plz help!

deepnds on your natural inclinations and how much you can devote to it. If I had a world champion teaching me and was free without a job I'm sure I could make a lot more progress than taking group classes, practicing 2 housr max a week and having a full time job.

welcome to Df...certainly 13 or 14 isn't too late....I know one US champ who started at the ripe old age of 18...and some of the rest of us who aren't so awfully bad started significantly later than that...like 38...now the real issue is how soon one can become "really really good"...nothing done well is achieved rapidly...you will need to be patient...but it isnt too late...again, welcome
