From Dance Beat website: "Slavik Krykklyvyy & Elena have ended their partnership (Slavik was in attendance and is rumored to be dancing with Hanna Karttuunen)"

But then again, most of what Dance Beat says about these things just remind me of middle school girls' gossip, so I guess we shouldn't take this too seriously yet.
 
Nobody noted that Erminio made the quarter final with Snejana his new partner in their first comp.

I'm wondering, after reading Laura's description of this trend in Standard dresses, how many of you think this will flow over into Smooth dresses-- or will Smooth continue to be "the new Latin"? I noticed some Tulle in a few Smooth Pro dresses at OSB, but the bodices were still pretty revealing. What do you predict? I'm having a new smooth dress made and don't want to be outdated immediately!
 
I think if Slavik and Hanna dance together, they will very likely be the new world champions as Slavik is the best male dancer in the world and Hanna is, well, Hanna... It will be exciting if this turns out to be true...

This would be a phenomenal partnership. The world title is long overdue to Slavik. I cannot think of a better couple to rival them if they were to compete. As for Hanna, no female dancer today dances like her or even come close to the elegance she exudes. I would be rooting for them for sure!! :banana:

I heard that Paul asked Hanna to dance with him again but she said no becuase Slavik asked her first.

Could not agree more with everything that you say.

I hear that Paul is dancing with a new Russian girl after splitting from with Ekaterina, but I do not know her name.

I don't know for sure how true any of this stuff about Hanna dancing with Slavik will turn out to be; last time I spoke to her, she was not dancing with him. But I guess things can change pretty quickly. Who knows? I just want to see her on the floor again, I miss her.

As noted in another thread this has been officially reported on a Russian dancesport site (otherwise such speculation would fall under DF's non-gossip policy). Naturally nothing is set in stone until after it happens, but this seems to be a reliable perception of what's going on.
