they have radio competitions here in chicago like this, where they play a bit of the song and you have to figure out who they are. usually its a very hard artist to find since the songs are like 30-40 years old. i usually do good with those, so i thought i could help you here. i searched everywhere i could but got nothing, so i sent one of thier distributors an e-mail asking them for the name and this was thier reply:
"This CD from Dancelife is a sampler recorded in their studios. So It is a studio singer and those are not mentioned on CDs. Sorry to say that we have no idea what the name is."
if you really want to know who it is, im guessing your going to have to ask the Dancelife label. Now thats another challenge there, the reason i had to ask a distributor was because i couldnt find any way of getting in contact with Dancelife, no information about contacting them is posted, or atleast i didnt come across any.
i sent the distributor another email asking if there is any way to contact dancelife, but if your trying to get to the artist just to find more songs from him, you might run into the same wall you did trying to figure his name out in the first place. if he is under the dancelife label, which he seems to be, then his name wont be on any of the songs he records.
i guess you were right in your assumption, there are no original artist or other versions.
sorry i couldnt be more helpful
