using rhinestones for a plain ballroom dress

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted on DF. I'm about to purchase a newly custom-made ballroom gown (w/o stones as it is cheaper) and was wondering if anyone can give me tips or know any sites on how to design it with rhinestones? For example, what kinds of patterns can I use for the neckline?

Thanks for any info you have.
 
I would just find pictures from competitions and sites that sell dresses and look for dresses that have stoning patterns that you like, and see if it's something that you can use as a basis for your own designs.
