Vicente Lopez was famous for having having his left leg slighlty shorter than his right;despite this he was an expert in tango liso, but when he danced milonga he used this difference to great advantage both musically and in in creating a nice dipping motion which ladies enjoyed.

Many people don't know that Jacobo El Colgador and his sister Maria Volcada were actually conjoined twins in their youth which not only required each to have a partner and learn to dance, but also gave rise to the unique style each developed in their teaching.
