I'm 90% sure I'm not going to do this, but it snowed last night, and it's supposed to snow again this weekend, and I would love to check out Atlantis, so I'll admit the fantasy has flitted through my mind....

Has anyone been to this competition or know anyone who has been?
Any info/experiences to share?

Hi there. WorldPromotionsInc. Anna and Andrew Smart-organizers - associated with World Dance Council. Fun fun fun. Oh did I say "fun?". Beautiful, lovely, warm, welcoming even with a 3 hour time change. You can e-mail Anna with any questions, concerns, etc you may have.

Atlanis is lovely ...not thrilled with the rest of nassau...but, yes, given the weather, i could be persuaded

Going to Atlantis in August...Just happened to see the ad for this comp in latest Dancebeat and thought how fun would it be to combine my vacation and comping!

It's too pricey to do a competition like this for me. I have to save my pennies for the bigger away comps or the local ones with a good level of competition...

That is generally more or less my philosophy too. The only thing that makes me waiver a bit here is that I had been looking at Atlantis as a possible 20th anniversary getaway spot and thinking it seemed fun. Then one of my teacher's other students mentioned this comp.

I still probably won't go for it, but...I'm thinking about it.

I wonder what constitutes "Superstars of Latin Dance." I mean, in the abstract, that sounds like the kind of thing I would enjoy. Anyone have the inside scoop?

Years back I was on their mailing list and use to receive their brochures for their events. Always looked cool, but yes really expensive for a one day event.

I looked for more information on this one and could not find anything except the link already provided. If anyone comes up more info I this I would also love to see it.

I know nothing about the comp, but Atlantis is fun. I generally don't care much for large resorts, but we found it to be a fun family vacation. If I were going for a romantic vacation, though, I would stay at the prettier and more sane One and Only nearby and use their free shuttle to Atlantis for the fun stuff.

I was so curious about this I emailed Anna and she emailed me a package. So now I change my mind, I don’t think the comp entries are anymore expensive then any other NDCA comp we have done. And you can buy a package or not. It sure looks like it would be a fun week-end. Tempted.

What I can’t figure out is why flights are so expensive to the Bahamas.
