What did you do V Day/ V Day weekend?

Spent weekend at friend's place, then on the day got my friend two roses, with heart shaped boxes of candy and wrote a little dittyto celebrate dating 2 months.

How about you?

That was last weekend. Gee, I'd have to go back and think about that. :)

I worked all weekend. It actually wasn't that bad. One of my non-career-related work "volunteer" opportunities takes me away for a weekend every 6 months, and it turned out this year it hit VD. Granted, I was stressed out of my mind for a week beforehand.

But basically there was a lot of Italian food consumed, and an entire restaurant stock of a specific merlot was sacrificed (among 3 people over 2 days). On VD itself, I flew back home and wound up that evening at a friend's house where she was making dinner for a bunch of her friends. Again, more Italian food. :)

See...I was so out of it and otherwise occupied that I didn't have a chance to talk about V before now... Perhaps that is the case for others?

ok so besides whatwas done.....are there any guysthatactually enjoy valentines day?????????????????????/ seriously

I'd probably enjoy VD more if there was someone else with whom to enjoy it.

In general it's a very nice idea. It offers the boyfriend a chance to "make-up" for a bad Christmas present. Unfortunately, it also puts even more pressure on the boyfriend to follow-up on a great Christmas present too. It's that stress and anxiety that really makes the holiday awful. Speaking from the poor male perspective anyway.

Don't tell me you women out there would rather like "the companionship" rather than a gift or something. :)

I am sure it depends on what sort of companionship you are talking about.

I do. :P :)
Me, too! More so when I have an LTC to enjoy it with! :D

None this year, but I did send a couple of gifts to Peach and Dancin_feet. And I wrote a nice V-Day note to a lady I met on an internet dating site. She wrote back and told me she calls it S.A.D. (?), Single Awareness Day.

I'd rather know the right lady to enjoy it with then be single, but what the heck.

Yep, one of those ladies that I know so well, that she apprecaites the Xmas gifts and the V-Day gifts no matter what they may be, because I gave them with her in mind. :D

Did nothing but work all day, but made a huge batch of brownies and distributed them to my students that day! :D
