What is an organized couple?

So I hear some judges say things like, "this couple is so much more organized", and that is why they are winning. What makes a couple look organized to the judges?

costumes match ... tans match ... walk on walk off between songs is polished and rehearsed

oh and the dancing

Agreed, and I would add... in the ballroom, shoes on, jacket buttoned, etc., ready to step on the floor when called. No obvious (emotional) tension between the partners on the floor or in the venue. Never look rushed or flustered as they take the floor (regardless of outside circumstances) and other such items.

yep yep you are always being judged

Organized is the opposite of messy. A couple that's throwing themselves around, arms flailing, feet landing where ever they can, etc. would be called messy. A couple that places their arms, feet, weight distribution exactly where they mean to and with purpose, is called organized.

I imagine the use of the word "organized" likely spawned from an effort to avoid the negative word "messy".

Edit: For the record, I do not believe it has anything to do with focus, tanning, outfits, attitude, or some prior knowledge of the manner of practice. It simply refers to the quality of dancing.

disagree at a minimum it also includes walkon walk off bows and escorting the lady between dances

all dancing is organized by nature..

execution is a product that is preceded by organization

To answer my own question, I think it often means how well a couple appears to be prepared as they show their routines. First, they actually have routines or the appearance that when they dance they have a game plan. Second, that have developed groups that present their strengths, and don't have groups that look broken or unclear. There rhythm is very readable and well rehearsed. Entrance, exits and costuming are important too, but I'm not sure that is always what they mean when they say well organized, unless those things draw negative attention.

Ultimately, it's just a word, and best to ask whoever is using it, what they mean by it. Lacking that, the narrowest and simplest definition you can come up with is likely the most accurate assumption.

When I say "chicken", one person will imagine the chicken clucking about on the farm, another will imagine a whole sizzling chicken roasting on a skewer, and yet another will ask why I'm calling them a coward. The first two are more likely to be what I'm talking about, than the third, but you never know.
