Viennese Waltz. Love the gracefulness of the movements. It kinda reminds me of figure skating. I always loved watching figure skating growing up so maybe that's where it's from.
Solo: jit (I love, love , love techno and electro and this is one of the more developed dances to this style. Tricky to do but getting it down establishes many basics for others.)
Coupled: Lindy hop (I like the movements and the freedom to work on various moves.)
Tripled: Butterfly (Good bruising fun.)
Quadrupled: Jazz quadrille (improvised and a bit goofy to figure out but that is what it is and that's the joy.)
Ring: Kolomeika (Genuine fun to slowly get yourself up in a whirl and then snap the other way.)
Line: Electric Slide (I'm generally terrible with line dances so if I have to choose. . .)

You're going to love the Cha Cha like most in the beginning since it can be danced to so much music but be prepared for that to change as you get better at smooth and find dances to use both
Mmmm... the Kalotaszegi music that night WAS great (of course, considering who was playing), but the video is of the LAST 8 minutes of the (30 or 40 minute) dance. DH and I (the elderly American couple appearing intermittently) were exhausted by that point, and not dancing our best. It's not my favorite video of us. You (tancos) look much better.
And, as you know, I prefer Kalotaszegi Roman Forgatos, or Bonchidai Invirtita, though I also love Kalotaszegi Csardas (szapora) as well as many other dances in the genre.
But if we consider only the dances familiar to most of the participants in this forum, my favorite is West Coast Swing because the Jack and Jill competition format sets an expectation that dancers should be able to work with random partners, not just their favorite practice partner.

At almost ever party, or social I go to, there always is a set with balkan grooves. So I assume, these dances are quite popular at the moment around the world.
The video looks as if it would be very enjoyable, but please is there
anywhere in or near London where they dance it? (Google gave 200K
hits; most of the first ones in a language that I cannot read).
Also I might not be able to keep dancing for 30 mins at a stretch,
is it permissible to tell ones partner "sorry, I must take a rest" ?
