This is modern Gaelic music. . . .I'm trying to get picture of what you would dance to this.

thanks for the link I'd never heard this before. Interesting it has almost an (east) indian sound to it.. I can imagine dancers wtih elephants in the background - I do not get heath and scottish mist....
 
It's typical Gaelic (think Enya) styling. The group is 'Capercaillae' another group worth listening to is Dochas.

And if you really want something exotic to dance to - how about some 'mouth music' - fast dance music that is sung and not played and where the dancer and the singer accompany each other

This is a marvellous informal example


Incidentally the first video track is of the area where I live -) as in 10 miles away.
