What's good in Florida?

Ok my last post may not have been in the best sub category. http://www.dance-forums.com/showthread.php?t=12285

I've got a trip to Ft Lauderdale planned and will be spending Friday and Saturday nights there(April 7th & 8th)

Does anyone know of any good dances or other dance-related things that may be going on during those nights in or near Ft Lauderdale?

I wish I knew. I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale, but that was two decades ago, and at the time the nearest I came to dancing was the occasional slam dance at Summer's.

I know a lady who teaches at a studio in West Palm Beach. Can't remember the name of it right now. I'll try to find out tomorrow.

My apologies... I'm not from that area and am unfamiliar with the events. You may want to do a quick yahoo yellowpages search for dance studios in that area. I bet if you gave them a call and told them your dilema, they'd be able to point you in the right direction.

Have a great trip and a lot of fun!

Not familiar with that area (Tallahassee has more stuff), but a non-dance related must-try is Sonny's BBQ (I have to plug for it. It's my favorite redneck restaurant in the world.)

Cool. I'll check it out if nothing dance-related comes up.

Sonny's baby back ribs, yum. There is one near the Commercial exit from 95 and another in Miramar off
the turnpike but Google for real directions.

Somewhere on DF there is a list of places to go in
South Florida, try the DF search.

There used to be a Lindy Hop forum called "South Florida Swing", and it was hosted on Delphi Forums. That had a lot of good info and helpful people. I haven't been on it in years, and I don't even know if it still exists?
