what is the most you have/would spend on the following items:

1. a pair of shoes (not for dance)
2. a cup of coffee
3. a haircut
4. a pair of earrings
5. a shirt/blouse
6. a pair of jeans
7. a camera
8. a cell phone
9. a salad
10. a bottle of water at a club
11. a watch
12. a gift for someone
 
These are my average prices.

1. $20- $100.
2. $5.
3. Zero. Dad-in-law's a barber!
4. $5 cheapies to $500 & over gemstones.
5. $2- under $100. (average about $15 when I shop in Southeast Asia)
6. Don't wear 'em. For regular pants about $30.
7. Leica? $2000. Digicam? $500.
8. $150.
9. $50 (with fresh crab/caviar, thus the price). $10 or so on average?
10. I would NEVER buy water at a club. I would buy drinks at the club.
11. For me? Up to $5000. Gift? $150.
12. Depends on the person. Average around $50.

(im a bit embarrassed, looking back at what ive spent on some of this stuff...thats one thing that traveling has taught me - avoid paying retail when possible. buy wardrobe in other countries!)

7. a camera - $0 got free digicam from my dear bro

9. a salad - $5-6 on avg??
10. a bottle of water at a club - um....don't frequent clubs....
11. a watch - $20 - lose watches too easily, not practical to buy any brand name watches

i don't b/c they hurt too much - i tried putting on a pair of clip-ons for our corporate Christmas dinner last year - felt like i was going to have bruised ears after a couple of minutes!
 
It all depends on the quality, style, and uniqueness of the object. Like, I usually spend about $X on these things, but if I found something amazing I'd spend much much more than that.

1. a pair of shoes (not for dance) -- usually $75, but as much as $150
2. a cup of coffee -- usually nothing, but as much as $5.00
3. a haircut -- usually nothing, but as much as $100
4. a pair of earrings -- anywhere from $15 to $500
5. a shirt/blouse -- anywhere from $15 to $100
6. a pair of jeans -- previously about $40, but lately about $125
7. a camera -- $500 or less
8. a cell phone -- $200 or less
9. a salad -- anything from $3 to $20
10. a bottle of water at a club -- usually $1, but as much as $3
11. a watch -- usually nothing, but as much as $100
12. a gift for someone -- depends on the person, as much as $1500 or more for my mom!!

Now, I'm in my 40's and don't have kids or a mortgage, so my spending patterns might be very different from someone who is still a student, or who has several people in their family.
