Why are Tango Festivals getting so expensive in the US?

I haven't been traveling to festivals for at least a few years now, however it seems like the prices have increased by twice the rate of inflation, prices are up 40-50% vs less than 20% for general inflation. What is causing this?

Can't speak from experience, but it seems to depend on the event (location, duration). Some seem quite reasonably priced, at least for the entrance fee.
