I'm going to audition for our local version of American Idol in the next 2 weeks. It's called "Florida's Super Singer" and it airs on our local CBS station. :)

I auditioned for Nashville Star in it's first season (total bomb) and I am way too old for AI, but I'm pretty confident about this. I'll at least have some time to prep.

I'm nervous as can be, but I don't know why. I mean I've sung in church and in front of thousands of people... I'm a veteran performer, but I've got butterflies ("oofooflies" as Gabriella calls them)....

I need to pick a song to sing for my first audition... Any suggestions?

Can I post an audio file as an attachment?
Or do I have to host it on a website?

If possible, I will list a few songs as a poll and then after the results are in I can put demo's of each up to get a response on which one sounds best... Oh my... Butterflies just thinking about it....

Goodluck DancingMum. From what I hear, nerves are good. It means that the adrenalin is flowing and some of the greatest performances are given when on the adrenalin high :D

Do you know what you are wearing as yet? Enquiring minds (me!) would like to know :wink:

Best of luck, cutie. Or how did it go? I saw another audition in the paper -- a similar audition, with a car as the prize. Did you see that one?
