Less than one week to go before UCanDance's BIG SALSA PARTY! The ballroom is booked, the catering and bar is organised, we have the Gerado Torres 10pce Latin Combo ready to go, plenty of music and video (giant video screen!) ready for the breaks, our principal has put together DJing 101 for dummies, and we have a cool tango performance lined up, just for something completely different.
I have red and yellow paint under my fingernails, (for which I get a credit as art director
), but that should be resolved by me chewing them off waiting for ticket sales to pick up. We usually get most of the Latin dance community, and the Latin American cultural community coming along.Not bad for a student run (dis)organisation.
It's going to be fabulous. Cross fingers, knock on wood.
Just need to get some sleep sometime before next Saturday. Please wish us luck! (and if any of you get the chance to do something like this - go for it! Its really to see it all happen on the night.)Cheers
