Here are the results from the World Professional Standard held last night in Tokyo Japan.

1 Mirko Gozzali & Alessia Betti 11121
2 Timothy Howson & Joanne Bolton 22212
3 Jonathan Wilkins & Katusha Demidova 33333
4 Christopher Hawkins & Justyna 44444
5 Michele Bonsignori & Monica Baldasseroni 55555
6 Victor Fung & Anna Mikhed 66666

Never thought that foxtrot would be a dance that Gozzoli would lose.

Nice to see you coming around Mr. McDonald.

I always thought the Foxtrot to be Timothy and Joanne's strongest dance, so I can see that happening, but I haven't seen enough of Mirko and Allessia to compare either.

Well one of them was Marcus Hilton.
I'm not surprised Howson & Bolton won the foxtrot, it's their strongest and one they are renowned for.

Go Victor and Anna!!! It's really exciting to see two US couples in the final:)

I saw them perform a show a couple of months back. They were terrific - they received a standing ovation from the audience at the end of the show.

Doesn't world standard consist of only the top two couples from each country? If so, the other finalists (if by those you mean Lyn and Jonathan or Villa/Colagreco maybe) are not in the top two in their country so they'd naturally be missing.

Yes that - plus a similar quota for judge nationality - is the major difference between this and the pro Blackpool.
