World Super Stars 2014

It's that time of year again! The World Super Stars Dance Festival takes place this weekend at the Royal Park Hotel, Tokyo, Japan. And for the first time ever, I will be there to see it happen live! Words can't even begin to express how excited I feel! I will be there for the Sunday night show, and the performers that I will see are:

Sunday 10th August

1. Domen Krapez & Monica Nigro

2. Valerio Colantoni & Yulia Spesivtseva

3. Emanuel Valeri & Tania Kehlet

4. Riccardo Cocchi & Yulia Zagoruychenko

5. Sergey Surkov & Melia

6. Stefano Di Filippi & Dasha

7. Paul Killick & Hanna Karttunen

Bring on the weekend! It's going to be an absolute dream come true!

I can't be completely sure about who is performing on the Saturday evening, so there may well be another couple from the past returning then - when I got sent the original list, Mirko Gozzoli and Edita Daniute were down to dance in place of Emanuel and Tania - but the actual ticket face states the couples I have posted above. The original list I received also did not include Paul and Hanna. But as I didn't buy a ticket for Saturday, I have no way to check for sure who will dance then.

As a point of reference, the couples for Saturday from the original list were:

Saturday 9th of August

1. Arunas Bizokas & Katusha Demidova

2. Victor Fung & Anastasia Muravyeva

3. Andrea Ghigiarelli & Sara Andracchio

4. Sascha & Natascha Karabey

5. Michael Malitowski & Joanna Leunis

6. Maurizio Vescovo & Andra Vaidilaite

So I'm imagining it should be roughly there or thereabouts!

I just arrived in Tokyo! Cannot wait for tomorrow evening! So excited to see Sergey and Melia's show, this will be my first preview of what they're gonna dance for me for my birthday in November, can't wait to see it all!

Haha, awesome! Are you a Scorpio too, then? So is Melia. All the best people have November birthdays!
 
The show was amazing! No Valerio and Yulia, I don't know why, Alexander Zhiratkov and Irina Novozhilova took their place. Paul and Hanna danced their three best numbers from the good old days, Cha Cha, Paso and Rumba - all the same routines, used a different music for the Rumba though. It was very good, especially considering how long they've been apart for. The standard of all the couples was extremely high, there was a great atmosphere and it felt so prestigious, my only gripe was that it was over way too soon! Only three hours of shows. Loved every second though and definitely coming back again next year! Can't believe I first ever watched WSS on DVD for the 2003 show (coincidentally featuring the same Paso and Rumba that Paul and Hanna danced tonight) and now 11 years later I finally made it there! Such a huge dream come true for me. Can't believe I even made it happen! Think I may have finally achieved all of the things I have ever wanted to do now!
 
Ah, still cool though! One of my best friends is Scorpio, the other is Sagittarius - so I'm a fan of both signs, evidently!
