Dance like there is no tomorrow!!!!!!!!

Hi gitjiggy!

Welcome to Dance Forums! :D

We don't mind if you post an add here for free, but in return we'd appreciate it if you'd contribute to our community elsewhere on Dance Forums or we won't permit the ads. We feel this is very fair and hope you do, too.

Gitjiggy update

I would like to take this time to let everyone know that I am a fellow country western and swing dancer. Its been about 3 years since I have competed because I went overseas to work.

But, the good news is that I have been developing a website that would change the dance world. Gitjiggy will start out a a general information source with mostly dance news and a small dance forum. We are anticipating launch of our site in early May. This is only phase one of our site. Once we launch phase 1, we will began Phase 2 which will include a series of databases enabling dancers to search for dance partners, dance nightclubs, dance schools, instructors, choreographers, etc. Dancers (members) will have the ability to create their own dance portfolio, with pictures, bios, resumes, awards, accomplishments, and a small dance video clip.

We have nothing to hide here at gitjiggy, we are here to serve the dance community. We have much more in store for all you dancers throughout 2005 including shopping, chatrooms, etc. I can't give all the information away now, that would be no fun.

I hope to chat with everyone in regards to our new site and just general dance discussion. I'm glad to be a part of dance-forums.com This is a great discussion site.

So far gitjiiggy it's been all ads, unless you don't count your advertisment for a dance partner under the C&W forum.

I don't want to sound like a party pooper, but I would be very careful posting to many more ads without real contributions.

Thank you!

My apologies, but.....

From the message I received regarding advertisements, it suggested that instead of just providing a link, that I put a description, and that's all I did. As far as I am concerned, I didn't break any rules.

And I'm sorry I don't have time to post 10-15 messages a day on your forum. Please allow me time. I've only been a member for 1 hr. Thanks

Don't sweat it, gitjiggy. We've been having a lot of folks lately who drop in, post a link (a lot of times, not even dance-related) and then leave, never to return. Something in my gut tells me you're not one of them.

So come on in, take your shoes off, sit down a spell, and have fun. 8)

The Advertising guidelines read as follows, "If this is your first time here, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to start out by placing an ad in one of our forums. Our primary goal is to promote quality discussion about dance related topics. If your main motivation for being here is to place a link to your website or announce your event, then please don't make a post and move along."

Perhaps my words above were stronger then necessary, and so I forgive you for your expression of frustration. Yet by permiting you to keep your posts so far, we are already bending our guidelines. I hope the choice to permit your post was a good idea.

Hope you enjoy reading and posting! :D
