yesterday's activities

Although I can see a phone flying up and whapping someone in the chin if they went down a slide fast enough, feet first? I'll confess I don't know what mobile phones weigh. I've never held one.
I had a fanny pack version I used on the slides, not the necklace version. Most people don't take their phones on slides as far as I can tell.. this is probably another soapbox issue of mine, but the reality is that it's mostly the moms that are carrying the phones (we tend to be the assigned pack mules and logistical organizers) and it's mostly kids and , uhhh, not moms who are going down slides.

Week 2 of "we're not in Kansas anymore" at work...everyone waiting for the hammer to drop...ug...transitions.. but, some small victories and a fair amount of productivity if it matters. So much up in the air in this merger

Saturday:
Competed at Empire; this is the first time I've competed in 4 years; predictably, after being at the competition since Saturday, jitters were at zero; I mean seriously, I was bored to death with that room, so no jitters and also nice to get some cheering from people I've worked with all week, some I checked in and gave their registration to, and a family member showed up! Also, was nice to un-limber The Gown at least once more; I wuv The Gown

Tues.. sleep til 945 work a few hours...go see babies...facilitate a huge grief group

Wake from poor sleep.. very busy day...printer problems..frustrating meetings but very successful training of my staff...13 hour day and have to travel tomorrow...grumble...but grateful

Monday: am so foolish as to go to my lesson, which turns out not as badly as it could have
Start the unpacking process and discover expensive item was left at hotel, oh well, that's a goner
Make myself an actual meal of food with flavor and texture (aka not hotel food) and get some sleep

Tuesday: I have had enough sleep that even though Teach is in full "fix it! change it!" mode, lesson is OK

Yesterday:
Doctor #1 scheduled for 10:15, do not get seen until about 11; TDNWMH as lesson is at 11:45, have zero time to stretch/warm up
Lesson, in which more "fix it! change it!" happens
Doctor #2 at 2:30, telehealth, for which I am grateful as it's a follow up report on a cat scan which I have already seen and read report and we literally, and I'm old enough to mean LITERALLY, speak for less than 30 seconds, so I'm so glad I did not drive in to Columbia-Presbyterian, pay toll, park, and sit in a waiting room for this THIRTY SECOND CONVERSATION
To BFF's house to pick up her meds and put them in her fridge as she is out of town; do not bother to read her instructions as to where key is hidden, with predictable results; fortunately, she's in the same time zone so we text and get that sorted out
Dinner at fave restaurant
Stop at studio to have conversation with studio manager; get one thing sorted but not the other, oh well
Home; crash
