Seen Any Good Movies Lately?

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Almost as good as the book.
Been meaning to see this! I think it's no longer playing at the local art house/indie theatre and is coming out on DVD soon. I *LOVED* the book and got my coworker hooked on it as well. About to start the last book in the trilogy (The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest) in a few weeks. Did you know they've cast Daniel Craig (007) for the US remake?

AstroBoy! Watched it last night. It was really good. Its an anime classic. It was nice to see it in a different way.

Toy Story 3 was Great!! I saw it on late monday night and it still had a good crowd showing up for it. It got me a bit teary eye at some parts. Ooo I love looove Pixar :D

Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
Silent Night, Deadly Night Part II (1987)

First one is very well made, cult classic now... Part II is a waste of time as around 30 - 40 minutes is stock playback of Part I and the acting is terrible.

To sum up the series just stick to Part 1 and maybe 5.
2 & 3 = garbage... 4 is OK in places.

a guy cousin warned me to bring tissues when i go see it:p

BTW, I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but Cheryl Burke and Tony Dovolani were credited with the choreography in Toy Story 3, presumably for the Buzz & Jessie paso doble.

I heard something on the Radio that this movie was reducing grown men to tears..
but they didn't say what was in it that was having this effect... and why only men, or maybe women cry too but that's normal.

City of the Living Dead (1980) ~ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081318/

One of the best horror/suspense films ever in my book. Great story telling and the special effects are fantastic! The set pieces or a masterpiece (especially the final set!)

Bit gory (it is directed by Fulci but what do you expect? :p ).... forget the CGI nonsense this is where real horror is at :D

Blue Underground do a great Blu-ray transfer of this if a little high priced. Highly recommended! :D Lots of extras too, over an hour of them all crammed in :)
