    What are DJs doing wrong

But you won't necessarily know why.

    What are DJs doing wrong

Now this is something a few of us have been speculating about for a while (training a neural network specifically on old tango recordings to clean them up). I'm curious what their actual training set was. Some of their showcase examples are genuinely impressive and others introduce a bit too...

Has Buenos Aires lost its tango soul?

We can go for chicken and you can criticize my performances if you want!

Has Buenos Aires lost its tango soul?

You just described the various organiser/teacher networks, which indeed have absolutely nothing to do with ability.

Has Buenos Aires lost its tango soul?

You're a better dancer than you think you are

Non-Tango Life Partner or Not-Only Tango Partner?

tango can be really sensual, it's just transmitted directly through the embrace and sometimes invisible. But generally once one is familiar with a dance move it becomes internally desexualized

Leaders. How was your Tango journey?

I think they were primarily of use for learning what steps exist. A lot of the other information was varying degrees of inaccurate / incomplete / inconsistent / incompatible. At some point I had to consciously try to forget everything. I believe that cross-training something other than tango is...

Has Buenos Aires lost its tango soul?

I suggest just going to some city you want to visit anyway and not having any expectations of the milongas.

Leaders. How was your Tango journey?

I actually don't notice much correlation between follower demographics and embrace preference

Has Buenos Aires lost its tango soul?

BA is a special case where if you go to the touristic milongas there are a lot of local men either trying to pick up female tourists, sell lessons, or both + there are group tours which just dance with the taxi dancers on their own table. I thought the less touristic milongas were generally very...

    What are DJs doing wrong

... OK, so they can vibe code a bunch of features, but now anyone can do that, and all those features are useless anyway. And I chose my DJ player precisely because it doesn't have useless features cluttering up the UI.

    Are milongas getting shorter?

You are describing the experience of a cult initiate. I never bought into the cult and I remember my reaction: For what conceivable reason could these mediocre dancers think they're too good to dance with anyone?

    Are milongas getting shorter?

Of course it can. All it needs is a critical mass of sufficiently attractive people showing up.

    Vals criollo

I'm just trying to translate the intent, I make no statement about what I think the English term should be thought about using the word "folk" tbh but decided against it

    Vals criollo

You found one of the more complicated to translate words that has to do with Argentinian cultural identity. Honestly I'd just translate it as Argentine waltz
