    Ballroom on ABC Primetime, 2.2.06

Looking at this from the UK side of things and being involved in the filming over here. It seems that they really cut the content. They filmed the competition all day long. Admittedly they were focussing on the senior competitors, but they did ask us (as amateurs) to be involved. I think we...

    Strictly Come Dancing returns

Just to clarify - as far as i am aware there is nothing on the activeboard SCD forum relating to the show airing in the US. If anything is mentioned i will be sure to post here and let you all know. Hopefully as the show is on the BBC - it may be a possibility in the future. You could email...

So who's going to the USDSC?

Seems sensible to run if they can - they may be a fair few competitors down though! That's assuming the hotel doesn't take a battering! All Floridians - my thoughts are with you.

So who's going to the USDSC?

I cut and pasted this from the Us Dancesport website - just gone up! THE EAST COAST OF FLORIDA IS NOW UNDER A HURRICANE WARNING WHICH MEANS HURRICANE CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS. THE HOTEL IS UNDER MANDATORY EVACTUATION AND UNDER THE BEST CASE CONDITIONS WILL REOPEN TO TAKE...

So who's going to the USDSC?

I had a look at the link and it projects Hurricane Frances hitting eastern coast on saturday morning - not good for the comp then!

So who's going to the USDSC?

Can anybody update on the hurricane situation. I notice that a message has been put on the US Dancesport website. As i am in the UK - we do not get full details. Is Hollywood, Fl likely to get hit and if so when? Thanks

    Chris and Hazel split?

As far as i can see the pro ranks will now see Timmy & Joanne as number 1 Everybody else will shift up one space and there will be a fight for the newest 6th place available in the finals. Soo sad Chris & Hazel split :(

Do you have any non-dance friends left?

    Long Hair

To clarify - the hair pulling incident (well it wasn't pulled, but held taught!)- yes it was to get the right shape & lean. We waltzed around with my hair being held backwards for a couple of bars. It it certainly something i remember when i practice!. It was all done in fun and by very nice...

Competitors. How much do the tiny details matter?

I so agree with this - far better to have everything perfect as possible - then you know it's your dancing that is being marked. Though you will never convince everybody with your look - everybody has different likes and dislikes, but if you are well turned out that should make you feel better...

    Versatile hairdos for competitive ladies

I also dance both styles - really anything seems to go, but generally a bun as has been discussed before seems to be the way to go. A second suggestion for those of you out there with long hair is 2 buns - one regular one then a slightly smaller one above - this can form a really pretty...
