Bachelor #6

*giggle* I'll have to keep this in mind, the next time I scare someone away.

I'm an expert in that area. But I reached the conclusion that you can't just pretend to be someone else, less powerful, successful, not typically sweet, etc. Some woman can play it smart and pretend to be something else, but not all women can. And c'mon girls, you want someone who has the guts to approach you and not be intimidated by you, don't you? I'm sure just as we 'intimidating' women are 'special', there are some 'special' men out there (I hope).

Nope. The bachelorette that got married, Trista, her pick was a fire fighter from Colorado named Ryan. They are still together. ;)

Anything is possible :) !

I just find it quite difficult the way they 'show' their emotions on television, and then how they're confused between a couple of persons, so unreal, but it's entertaining no doubt. (And the girls and guys are all pretty and handsome, so it's like la la land.)

i felt very sorry for the oncologist whose inappropriate choce of words scared the man away, she was so devastated by the rejection.
but it's true what she says about men preferring the young ditzy females to the strong professional women, especially those who have chosen challenging male-dominated professions. I'm not her age yet but I've seen the same issues too :( sometimes I'm reluctant to tell men what I do for a living, it intimidates a lot of them (which is okay sometimes ;) )
I agree, and yet she really seemed to have an issue with this and ultimately she needs to be happy with who she is and then she could increase her chances of finding some one willing to have a relationship based on co-operation rather then competition.

Overall, the staying power of the relationships that have happened has been poor.

2 hours of the show this past week, but the first hour didn't seem to be worth it.

They reran most of the last show from the point where Travis went on his individual date with Kristen and they showed a bit more detail of the date. Ok ... so they did do a couple different things up front, too. However once the show got past the portion where they showed Kristen's date at more length, then everything was the same. What a waste.

The 2nd hour was all new, and things returned to the shows usual process of showing some interatcions and dating between Travis and the ladies prior to the next "rose cermony"

The group date on the French Riviera seemed to focus mostly on the strong moves made by Moana to spend time with Travis while the other hand full of ladies yacked about how she was there for the wrong reasons and she was just playing it like a game instead of for real. At this point that seems to be the case, and thus I'm downgrading her to a neutral position until she proves otherwise. Unfortunately Travis doesn't seem to have a full perspective on her yet, and didn't heed Shiloh's warning regarding Moana when they talked. He didn't seem to appreciate her even discussing it and she ended up not getting a rose at the end of the show, so now Shiloh is gone anyway.

Sara S. still seems to be my first choice at the moment, and she had the opportunity to have some one-on-one time with Travis, but they just didn't show how far it went after Tara went about her routine of getting jealous again and interrupting their conversation. Makes me wonder what the show is hiding there? I really liked her gold dress as well. :D

And although I liked Tara's little light green dress, it is really time for her to get booted because of her actions showing her level of insecurity.

Susan has continued to impress me with her seemingly mature attitude (and her dress was very good again, too) so she stays in my plus column along with Sara S. She had a one-on-one date after all the girls were interviewed by two of Travis' guy friends, and the first kiss of the show was had by the two of them.

I like Jehan's dress for the second week in a row, but that isn't enough of a reason to move her out of my neutral column at this point.

Towards the end of the program Sarah B. and Jennifer had a date with Travis where they went camping. Jennifer spent so much time complaining about the bugs during an activity that clearly is wone of Travis' favorites, that she didn't get the rose, and the rather stressed Sarah B did instead. I cringed when Travis and Sarah B. kissed. She doesn't strike me as a good choice at this point and remains in my minus column with Tara.

With only 6 ladies remaining, things will likely get more intimate and interesting as Travis closes in on his final selections.

Ooops. Forgot to post here last week.

Well ... last week Tara and Jehan got the boot. Interestingly they were the two that went looking for Travis when he was having some one-on -one time with one of the other ladies a couple of shows back.

Anyway ... fast forwarding to last night ...

It was down to Sarah S., Susan, Moana, and Sarah B. All the ladies got to introduce their parents and families in their respective home towns.

Awkward moments abounded!

Sarah B. pressed the issue regarding her feelings about Travis dating the other ladies, too. Very insecure.

Moana's parent's were obviously a bit rough on Travis. Uh oh.

Susan's just coming off of an engagement 3 months back was disclosed and her motives were questioned by her mother. Interesting.

And it seemed Sarah S. discovered that Travis is interested in moving from TN (where she currently lives and is very happy) to Colorado. Hmmm ...

End result was Sarah B. wasn't given a rose and the other three ladies will get romantic dates in Europe with Travis the next time as he evaluates who will be the final two. At this point Moana has begun showing her level of insecurity, Susan's coming off her recent engagement concerns me, and Sarah S. would still be my first pick based on everything that has happened so far. She seems to be the best fit for him as well. ;)

Just kicking in here to say I haven't seen this show - they don't show it on British TV (or satellite, as far as I know) - but I've really enjoyed reading this thread! :D

Rosa ;)

Melana seems very unhealthy to me, with that whole "you complete me" deal, "I find a missing part of me in you" gee what quicker way to send the man running! Now he feels a bit responsible for her mental state. Very unhealthy. It saved her now, but it will suck later

Susan, now seems like a very insincere actress-wannabe to me right now. I think her mom might be speaking some truths even if I'm not sure she's not "jealous" of her own daughter

With Sarah from TN, I don't see ANY chemistry between her and Travis. Her qualifications and credentials look good on paper, but there's no visible spark. Look how long it took them to kiss

I approved cutting out the younger sarah, she looks trampish lol, too immature (and gawd that purring sound she makes annoyed me). But at this point all 3 remaining women are questionable IMO
I'd be surprised if Travis really did propose to any of them

The chemistry has been slow to grow with Sarah S, yet I sense something has been going on that the show's producers aren't revealing yet. The most obvious moment was in the French Riviera on the boat when her and Travis were talking, and then interrupted by Tara before scooting off somewhere that wasn't revealed and the cameras never showed anything from the rest of their conversation. Also they have been showing much of the chemistry that has been going on with Travis and the other ladies, so this makes me at least alittle bit suspicious. ;)

This show has a habit of throwing out little side trails and revealing only what they desire inorder to keep people guessing. One show had a guy named ... hmmm ... Andrew? ... from the Firestone family ... who clicked with his woman of choice almost from the beginning, yet the show kept this quiet until the tell-all show after the rest was over.

Last night's two hour show featured a bit on the previous bachelor's and how important the overnight dates were. It was interesting to discover that two of the bachelors are actually still seeing the ladies of their choice, along with Trista and Ryan. I wasn't aware of this, and this is good to know.

Then the show turned to coverage of the three over night dates Travis had with Moana, Sarah S., and Susan.

Moana had the opportunity to spend time with Travis in Venice. It seems the two hit it off well, and apparently had a romantic time touring the city in one of it's famous gondola boats.

Sarah spent time with Travis in Vienna. Again things seemed to go very smoothly with a tad biit more emphasis on romance, and seemingly very strong intimate conversation.

Susan got to go climbing in the Alps with Travis, but he confronted her with questions regarding her motivations for being on the show. She didn't seem completely sincere, as if she was hiding her original motivations despite seeming to have become very attracted to him anyway.

In the end, Travis gave roses to Moana and Sarah. And although things have been very cozy between Travis and Moana, my guess is Sarah will be his final choice next week.
