I was in the commercial also. I'll be the one wearing the yellow dress, one high heel, and one orthopedic shoe. :D I've had problems with my feet and wore the ugly shoe to the fitting and the director loved it and wanted me to dance in it in the commercial. Go figure! At least it saved my foot that day!
 
Hey... How are you...? Good dancing by the way at the Embassy... I'm the one that had to wear the funky vest... and was dressed all in black...

What a great story! I can hardly wait to see the commercial. Do you know if it's airing anywhere other than TLC?
 
Yeah. I would assume it'd air someplace like Bravo or the Discovery Channel or something. :? I'll keep an eye open for it. 8)
 
Hey guille_bdancer, yes I remember you. :) I do remember that funky vest. I'm doing alright. Still have a painful foot, but hopefully that is going away. I didn't know that you watched Embassy. What night did you go? Thanks for the compliment. So I'm guessing that it felt worse than it looked. :lol: We did Championship for the first time ever with my foot in so-so condition so it was an interesting night. And we only had 2 days of kind of practice before we competed, so it was an interesting and intimidating weekend. Ah well. How'd you like Embassy?

Sorry to get off subject. I'm not sure if they air the commercial on other stations, but maybe sister stations? Like you said, possibly Bravo. I'm excited to see it. A little scared too because they had us doing weird exercises in costume like we were at bootcamp. It should be interesting... :D
 
Sorry to hear about your foot still bugging you... I was there Fri. Sat. and Sun. evenings... Actually I saw you guys before you competed... I was in line to go in, didn't want to distract you guys though... The Embassy was really inspiring... Hope to see you in future comps... oh yeah... and in the commercial...
 
Hey SambaRumbaGirl... Have you seen the commercial yet? I saw it last night, but it's very short... :? They have a shot of Lorena running and carrying her ballgown and shot of all of us dancing in a group, hopefully they'll extended a little bit more... 8)
 
Another dance show!! This is awesome.

I wonder if this means ballroom competitions will be aired on TV again. I used to watch them on PBS & A&E, but that seems to have stopped ages ago...


With all these new dance shows though......

The Ohio Star Ball will be filmed and will air later on like it used to... now it will also include american style... cool huh? :wink:
 
No, I haven't seen it yet. Although I haven't been in front of the TV much this past week and weekend. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for the commercial. I should really give the people at the agency a call and try to get the tape of the full commercial.

Just watched the first BB episode.
How can they learn to dance that well in 5 WEEKS???
I've been taking lessons for months and I'm nowhere near that good, even though I go to classes all the time.

:(
