well then...any attractive male in a latin outfit or tails makes me want to dance...end of story:nope: This is not meant to be about clothes you own that make you want to dance.
It is about clothes that you SEE on someone else, that make you want to dance (unless of course, you are wearing something, dancing and looking at yourself in the mirror)
For instance, I saw what Yulia Zagoruychenko was wearing and I am like... wow! I wanna dance! :banana:
It is the movement of the material that catches your eye, poetry in motion, making you want to be in motion!

I love to dance in just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt some days, and other days i rather be in a frilly, sparkly, red dress!!
I know the thread is "Clothes that make you want to dance" .... but what about "clothes that want to dance"?
For example, my wedding gown always wanted to do a Viennese waltz. When it came into being in 1977, it said, "I need to float across the floor in 3/4 time." I tried to meet its expectations, but back then I could manage only rotary waltz or pols (which was very nice in itself ... after all, I was dancing with DH!) ... it just wasn't Viennese. It wasn't until we started ballroom dance lessons that it began to perk up. DH and I learned a routine, and the gown told me it needed to participate in the fun. It made me shorten it -- taking 12 yards of embroidered ribbon off the hem of the chiffon overskirt and then reattaching the same 12 yards of ribbon to the shorter hem -- and then adding horsehair to the 5 yards of (slightly shortened) satin underskirt. At least the second time around it didn't drive me to tears like the first time ....
So the gown got to dance again in 2006. Despite all I have learned since then about dancing, and despite the dated look of the gown (e.g., seriously puffy sleeves -- Princess Diana stole some ideas from me for her own wedding a few years later), when I look at the video of that routine, I am happy to see the gown finally doing what it always wanted to do. In fact, I am contemplating taking it out of retirement again ...
And there are a few more items in my closet that pop up every once in a while and say "it's time for me to dance again ... you must wear me tonight!"
Edited to add: Of course the reason the gown wants to dance is that it was inspired by so many other gowns that danced well ... those worn by Ginger Rogers, the ones in the brief dance scenes in "The King and I" and "Gone With the Wind", etc.
