Thank you so much for this. I love this type of backing, and wasn’t sure where to get them. I may try to make myself a few pairs of earrings using this backing.
 
PnP & Scully, you got it. I always added an extra back to make sure it stays. I stopped offering it years ago because it seemed no one liked the option and I forgot about them until I saw Scully's post. They are called french clips. I went looking for them because I had them on regular earrings I purchased and thought they would be great for dancing.
Misspendragon, you have to remove the old back and add this one.

Look at her posts. At the bottom of the post, there are some links in smaller type. This is the signature area. It repeats on each post, so most times our eyes skim over it if someone has something there. Assuming of course, that the forum displays the same for you as for me on whatever device you're using (laptop, phone, etc), you should see links at the bottom of jwinco's posts.
