Dame la Mano - a film about exile cubans and their music

Hi Luc,

I saw this film on the flight back from my recent holiday (yay for the personal inflight entertainment system -- the choice was amazing! :D).
Wow! I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who gets a chance to see it. The scenes from La Esquina Habanera were absolutely infectious. Nearly had me jump up and tembleque up & down the aisle (I managed to restrain myself -- I only shimmied frantically in my seat, which my SO thought was very amusing ).

And that hunky dance teacher. 56!? Never!

 What flight what company?...is this the only way to see this film....I just have to try to get in touch with the lady who made the film. There must be an other way of seeing it.

Lucky you!

KLM. I've used them many times, but this was the first time I got on one of their newer aircrafts that had a screen on each seat. It was fantastic -- I think there were about 50 films (or more?) to choose from, including a very good "world cinema" category, in which my SO spotted "Dame La Mano".

I saw this documentary at a Film Festival here in L.A. It's pretty cool. It's about a restaurant here in the States where several Cubans gather to re-create a lil bit of what they left back home. Rumba dancing at its rawest. Contagious.

MacMoto - I guess you now understand why I'm so keen on learning afrocuban dance. But I want a teacher like him - the 56 years old man. Where can I find anything like him?

I've send a few mails this evening to distributors of documentary film. Let's hope some of those can sell a private copy. Most websites in documentary film business are serving professionals only  - not private persons  .

I've found it in a on-line shop. A dutch on-line-shop  !

Is there anyone who can help me? Are there people from Holland around?

The most important questions is if the titles are in English as well as Dutch. The cost & billing information is a later question.

An email adress where I could send the questions would probably be enough. But I don´t understand anything at all  .

Can anyone help me?
P L E A S E!

/Luc
