At our last coaching, we danced with our regular coach's extraordinarily talented husband. In 18 months with our coach, we've never had a lesson from him (his primary expertise is a style we don't study). Not even three minutes in, I was not moving the way he expected to see, so he took my hand, placed it on the side of his backside, and asked me to feel how his hip was driving into the ground.

Pro tip: dance for 50 years and you too can have a rock solid backside when you're 55!

Wear sweatpants or dance pants then. Avoids that problem entirely.

Dancing in jeans makes me sweat just thinking about it... But I've done it in the past.

Well, based on your posts, I think you compete a lot. I'm just doing it for the fun of it, so I don't really own dance pants. Also, I'm coming straight from work, so it's a bit hard to change in time lol.

It takes a minute to change your pants so get some dance pants.
This. There's no excuse to not wear well-fitting pants- whether it is with a belt, or not. They don't have to be practice clothing- and it literally takes 2 minutes to change in the studio, if you are coming from work or the gym or whatever.

Target tried to expand to Canada..they couldn't make it and closed down all their shops lol.
Target has an online presence. Otherwise you could Google stay dry, dry fit or similarly named athletic pants.

Mens dance pants are ridiculously overpriced IMO.

Okay...lol. It's funny though because most men dance in khaki's and jeans anyways. I guess I'll have to buy new pants eventually...I can spend $80 on a private lesson for one hour but I'm too cheap to buy pants haha.
