And it is on that note that I will make an obligatory comment about the wonder of having drinking partners from your ballroom team - there is always a level where you can no longer physically perform open ballroom routines in your kitchen. However, before you reach this point, it strikes you as a wonderful idea to practice your foxtrot routine in the kitchen....in your tighty whiteys.

The problem from the alcohol wasn't so much that we were dancing in our underwear....it was that the other members of the party chose to film the practice. In the end, the video did help us prepare for the performance. It also helped us laugh off the evening.

Which reminds me that I have to stop one of my very good girl friends from jumping into it so soon. They're together for 2 weeks! :shock:

They did it. Knew it was coming. Now I seriously hope she doesn't regret it later on. I really hope I'm not sitting with her and a box of Kleenex in a few months, patting her back and her moaning that he was some sort of huge, fatal mistake.

T_E. Of course they did. Don't worry about it. Happens all the time, and not all teenagers are mindless. They'll be fine as long as they don't get reckless about it. Or, as jaundiced as I'll sound, as long as they don't take it or themselves too seriously. It'll be okay.
