Emotional maturity or what is that we are looking at - Gavito Festival 2024/Gustavo Naveira - Giselle Anne ?

Depends what you're trying to do. I believe they were there, so they saw the whole thing. It's just that now they've devoted three 50 minute sessions to discussing it. That's a lot of jabber.
Content creators always are need of material. This one presented itself on a platter.

To me most content these days is a lot of noise with very little substance.

Not sure where you’re getting these numbers…only 2 vids and they’re around 40 mins each.

Didn't see all of their first video. They've been talking about this a lot and I don't find it productive or informative.
I found first vid very informative. Second vid was about responding to criticisms of their first vid and I think they missed the mark on it again.

Overall the channel and vids are generally good for tango. More exposure to the dance -> more people getting into it. And it’s not surprising they covered a dramatic event that everyone in the tango world heard about within 1-2 days especially when they were actually at the event.

Only two? I thought I saw three. Also saw one that appeared to closer to 55 minutes in length.
just go and check their channel, it’s only two vids and they’re 36m and 42m respectively, I watched both when they first came out. I’m all for critiquing their content but it’s a bit ignorant when you’re hyperbolizing simple facts about it.
It’s like if someone said they don’t like tango because it’s a slow dance and you have to dance 6 songs in a row with someone.

Almost all of the tango content being produced online is aimed at people already in the scene rather than engaging with new people.
I mostly agree but there is a segment of audience that are beginners that are researching the dance that may continue to learn or quit, and I think having more “fun” and informative content like this will make them more inclined to stay.

Maybe because I posted another video in which the two discussed how hard it is to be a man in tango.

Well, many people would like to see the community rejuvenated. Without considering that this will also lead to other forms of expression and behavior.

But first the beginners should be encouraged to seek out the content to get them engaged. Going to lessons and practicas only gives a narrow view of what tango is and the journey to those who are new.

I don't know, most of the content seems to be people trying to promote their own agendas or viewpoints which are not necessarily correct or applicable to any particular viewer or their circumstances. The first thing I have to tell anyone new is not to take anything they hear or read too seriously.

OK. It's not important. Two videos, then. That's still a lot of time to devote to the subject.

We went to the Gavito TF a couple years ago since we live a couple hours away. We didn't go this time, but quite a few people from our local community went, and one friend said it was quite bizarre to witness what had happened.
Nonetheless, I read Gustavo's apology and it seemed heartfelt. Only time will tell if it humbles him.
