I love the name Giselle--like Amy Adams' character in Enchanted. I have a 2007 "laser blue" convertible (gray top) VW Beetle. And I call her Giselle...

hahha yahh I LOVE it too. That and Alana are my two favorites from mine...but I really like Holland also! :)

Among my favorites are Giselle, Amanda, Rebecca, Heidi, Gretchen, Laura, Alexandra, Holly, and Andrea...

Two "spice" names came to mind recently: Anise and Cinnamon. Not my cup of tea, but interesting...

Lavender strikes me as a unique one, too...

Spice names? I dunno.
Flower names, OTOH, are very nice.
Rose, Violet, Lilly, Iris... What else?
Petunia, though I don't really like that.

i like the names jack, max, and sam for boyz. jane, lily, and audrey are so classic for girlz. i'm also partial to many unique names... my kids' names are not that common.

i wonder if names like esther, helen, agatha, arthur, frank and gene will every come back into vogue. it's interesting how naming goes through phases... eras...

There is at least one site that graphs the relative popularity of names over the years. The name Renee hit a spike at about 1966-1967 because of the hit song "Walk Away Renee".

In the early 70's, the name Jennifer shot up in popularity because of the Ali McGraw character in Love Story. There are many other examples of cultural things affecting the popularity of names--including names like Farrah and Raquel...

Jack is a nice strong masculine name. Jane I think is a pretty middle name for a girl. Audrey is so elegant, but it's my darling brother's soon-to-be wife's name :) Helen is lovely. I like the shortened version of Arthur - Art.
Always hated the name Frank for some reason. My first music teacher's name.. at the time he really freaked me out though. lolz

I had never heard of the name Larinda til I came upon this site, and I think it's beautiful. It would be on my short list of girls names for sure.
