My point is, that it's not very helpful to dismiss someone as "the jealous guy who prevents his girlfriend from developing her personality". For most of us, there is a threshold at which we react, and "more" is always possible. Perhaps it is not about spontaneous jealousy, but about expectations of a relationship. And if there is too little agreement, at some point you have to find compromises or accept the consequences. There I have my doubts as to whether in this case the half-hearted salsa classes proveded to be a viable compromise.

Again I am not sure what does above have to do with (disapproval of) some instructor recommendation about wearing or not wearing a bra. Since that is what you quoted for the reply. You are getting more confusing. It sounds like instead of making a point related to what you quoted, the reply is to something completely different.

My ex-wife (dancer) has a new partner (dancer) who is slowly showing symptoms of his Parkinson's disease. He is now trying to forbid her from going dancing, is making scenes and stalking my ex-wife's dance partner.

Parkinsons sometimes also causes dementia. If this is a behavior change for him, they should talk to his doctor about the new symptoms. (If he was prone to threats and stalking before, then that's a different issue that needs to be dealt with.)

Dementia onset varies, and dementia symptoms early on can manifest in ways that really look like something else. You may be right with your theory. Or it might be dementia starting. Or heck, it could even be both.
