How are those cinnamon rolls?

They were good. All of them. :P

It's an old habit. Back when my ex and I were newly together and so in love, I got into the habit of cooking a big, hot, calorie-filled breakfast every Saturday and Sunday and giving him breakfast in bed. Lucky guy.

Well. The ex is gone, but I still cook breakfast every weekend day. *shrug*

Weekdays, I'm lucky to get an apple on the way out the door.

LOL! I'd forgotten all about that. One of my former dance teachers used to have an arm styling (for men, no less) that she called the cinnamon swirl. WCS, mostly. It looked pretty nice when well-done... which wasn't often.  What cracked me up the most was my friend, J, who was about the manliest man in the studio, but who did the swirly thing best of any of the guys. Darn! Wish I had that on video.

 mmmm breakfast in bed :friend:

Now I'm hungry :(

I met someone over the weekend who's son works part-time at Cinnabon's. I asked her if he brings home some of the cinn. rolls. She said "not any more, we are all sick of them!" I can't believe that!!!!

Cinnabon is evil! I can't walk past without getting a roll with a cup of coffee. And I don't even drink coffee. At least, I've weaned myself down to the minis. I used to get the jombo ones every time.

I try to avoid walking past anything that smells so tempting!
I did wean myself off caffeine (my New Year's resolution). I just kept adding more and more decaf to the pot and finally got down to 100% decaf. I have really been sleeping a whole lot better and as a result am a lot less tired during the day.

Cool. So the light coffee approach worked. Nice. Congrats on sticking with that resolution. That's a tough one.

btw, I still haven't seen light coffee in the supermarket here. I guess Texans like their coffee high octane.

It's almost midnight and aftre reading this thread I'm craving a big, warm, ozzing with cinnamon, sticky bun! :D

something about being up late that brings out these cravings..

i'll never forget junior year in college, massive Physical Chemistry final, i had failed all the semester tests, but the prof said we can replace those grades with the final exam.

Since I had not a clue about PChem, I decided I would start from scratch. I walk into the library, 24 hours before the exam (3pm) and decided to study the entire PChem textbook. all 500 pages. And every two hours, I would have a cinnabon (cheap variety from the vending machine) and a coffee, for the whole 24 hrs.

And the best part : I got a B in the final ! I'll never forget that magical night  or the next morning.

That's quite an impressive story! I've done things along those lines numerous times in the past five years  but definitely on more sustenance than that! I think I'd crash and burn around 3am if I tried that.
