I tried on some Supadance latin shoes this weekend, but I felt the heels were set too far back

Waiting for my first pair of aidas to try them out.

FYI, Stephanie Elites had heels 1/4" taller than my Ray Rose Kalaharis, all in nominal 2 1/2"

I usually do IDS and like them, but am interested in trying others. I have a very high arch and very narrow feet - what would work best for me? I like the elite heel on IDS (not flared) and would love to try AIDA but it seems like they only have the darker tan satin and I like the lighter one. Does anyone have any recommendations? Or does AIDA tan satin look lighter than the really dark one from IDS?

Their standard shoe is available in a lighter tan - I can't see why you can't order a latin pair in another available material?

I was trying on shoes with a vendor last weekend and she said Dance Naturals run narrow - probably why they did not work for me in the past.

Does anyone happen to have a side-by-side photo of Aida's square toe box versus round toe box for a Lady's Latin shoe? If so, I'd greatly appreciate seeing it.

OK - an update: My street shoe size is US 9.5 medium. I just got my exchanged shoes today - Aida Nikolishina size 25, and they fit exactly the way I want them to. Can't wait to get on the floor with them!

FYI, my Aida standard shoes were also size 25, but I wear an 8 US.

I generally find that I wear at least a full size larger in standard shoes than in latin in the same shoe line - I think it's the closed toe vs open toe thing. This has so far held true for Ray Rose and for the Supadance shoes I tried on last weekend.

Ditto. My standard and practice shoes are 1 to 1.5 sizes larger than my latin ones. (I'm in the middle for ballet, etc.)

My dance bag often contains a mini shoe store... last week, at one point, I had six pair in there (standard, latin, practice, 2 ballet, dance sneakers)... all on top of the old practice shoes and slippers that I keep at the studio. Oh, and I had the boots I arrived in too... because I totally needed 18 different options to outfit my two feet.

(I may have a problem.)

My dance bag has: one pair Aida standard shoes; one pair Paoul standard shoes; one pair Werner-Kern social dance shoes; one pair Aris Allen swing dance shoes (for Blues); one pair jazz shoes, probably Capezios; one pair Bloch dance sneakers.

Actually, that's the trunk of my car; the shoes get rotated in and out of the dance bag.
