Is anyone planning to attend this competition? I was thinking of going, but I don't event know if the Open Standard events will be at all contested?

Is anyone going?

I'm planning on going. And I know of at least one other Open Standard couple who will be there.

Wonder if they accept late entries... Probably...

Will have to decide after Manhattan. Don't have a car, and the bus from NY takes quite a while to get there... I think my partner wants to go, I don't see much value it the comp is REALLY SMALL. Last year it had 7 couples, but the comp gave North American Champion title (only every 2 years), so I am not sure if it will be even that big...

I wish I could compete there, but will have to skip it...

A lot of my friends will be there so it would be fun to go to for me... just to chat with everyone and cheer... but the trip and the expenses - not sure it is worth it...

not sure when I'll get to compete again after Yankee... new partner, new routines... but if I don't compete for a while I might get out of shape: will be scared again on the floor...

You'll be fine!!! No need to stress.

Do you know who's going?

I'm afraid if I take few months off to train and work on routines, I'll be back to that initial state of being scared on the comp floor...

maybe I should do several college comps even before we are totally ready, just so that I keep competing, just to get onto the competitive floor... but that new waltz routine is not possible to pull off before we really master it... too great a chance we are just going to fall  !

I'm just scared that next time I'm at a comp I'll have to dance THAT  !

Do college comps.. we did our first after 10 days with A...

It's easy, no pressure... Try to pull off the routine.

I think Elona and I may go. Do you know where the forms are? Do you know the due date? Do you know the schedule? I'll probably just end up calling the organizers since I have none of the information.

The entry deadline *was* today. It has been extended to June 30th. Good thing, since I haven't registered yet either. :)

The comp web site is eus.accessdance.com, and the note about the extension is at accessdance.com/news/3953

What if it doesn't work and we just fall down? I'll probably loose a partner right away...

Then don't use the new waltz routine at first.

You don't want to end up with it entirely defining - and thus limiting - your dancing together.
