Julia Zenko and others...

Latest additions to my cd collection worth mentioning are:
Julia Zenko " Tango Por Vos" after hearing her sing on the Electrocutango track Sin Piel I took a flyier with this: Its not a dance cd, but she has an amazing voice, and if you knew that I don't really go for sung tangos.

Aurelio Tango Quartet ( with Gustavo Toker & Juan Pablo Dobal): " two to Tango"; my favourite instrument playing Piazzolla pieces. I don't know if this Dutch quartet is still together but I would love to see them play. The first Cd is Piazzollla and includes Escualo; Contraajissimo; Cuatros Estiacones Portenas; the 2nd CD has pieces by Toker, Dobal and some traditional tangos. What a find!! :D

Magnetique Tango: Anja Lechner, cello; Peter Ludwig Piano.
All pieces beautifully composed by Ludwig. This is a moody and dramatic CD with the spirit of tango or maybe Piazzolla captured and crafted.

Oh, BTM. These sound great, particularly Tango Por Vos. Where did you get them? Online? At a shop? We don't have anywhere the range here in shops so you've got to get them online. When the shops to stock them, it usually costs an arm and a leg!

Will be in London in Jan, am looking forward to hitting the CD shops for lots of great CDs for AT, salsa and ballroom!

You are very sweet, BTM. Thank you, but my amazon account is well and truly active. I'll order it during my next big buying session! :)

I know a wonderful argentinean site where you can shop loads and loads of tango Cd's and DVD's. It's name is Farolatino.com. There you'll surely find Julia Zenko's albums. It also has a section where you can downloads for free and legally a lot of tangos
